Day 123

Dear Jesus,

I started crying this morning as soon as my knees hit the floor to pray. I knew today would be hard. It is.

I am so thankful for my family on this Thanksgiving Day. I am with my brother and Scott's parents. I love each of them so dearly. Scott's absence hangs in the air so heavily.

So many Thanksgiving memories... meeting his grandma Odelle, watching the parade with his aunt Barbara and cousin Amanda, everyone gathered around Aunt Val and Uncle Walter's table, cousin Aaron never showing us the family photo until the following year, Betty and David at our home in Charlotte. So many good memories and he is part of ever single one of them. I miss you so much, Scott O'Con.

My prayer today is that I manage the next two days with good memories and happy tears.

Brother Jesus, hear my prayer.
